Center Early Childhood Since 1945
Welcome to the Early Childhood Center at the Claremont United Church of Christ! We have hopefully created a website that provides extensive and helpful information about our dynamic, quality early childhood program. The Early Childhood Center has been Accredited through the National Association for the Education of Young Children since 1997, and has just recently become re-Accredited through the Academy in 2018. To achieve NAEYC Accreditation, early childhood education programs volunteer to be measured against the most robust and rigorous national standards on education, administration, teaching staff, physical environment, assessment of child progress, health & safety, and community partnerships. Through our Accreditation process, we have created a stronger and more committed team of teachers, leadership, and families who work together to continually improve our program quality. The Early Childhood Center also supports the training of students from educational institutions, such as Chaffey College, Mt. San Antonio College, Citrus College, and the Claremont Colleges. Students enrolled in early childhood development classes at these schools are learning how to incorporate “theory into practice,” and there is no better way than to experience the classroom environment firsthand! Please look around our website, and feel free to contact me with any questions you may have! The Early Childhood Center also has an “open door” policy, so please feel free to drop by and visit our campus. Only then will you be able to develop a deeper appreciation for the excitement in learning that is created on a daily basis! Kristy Knight Director
